Jeremy Marinas plays Justin Starr in the LXD online series. He won’t be returning for Season 3, but you can catch him in the upcoming film, “The Hunger Games.”
The LXD filmed a special short film a while back that was viewed exclusively to audiences of the “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, Director’s Cut.” After months of waiting, the project has finally reached the internet, thanks to one of its stars, Simrin Player. The short also features the talents of Step Up 3D star Kendra Andrews, Chad “Madd Chadd” Smith, who plays the character of Sp3cimen in the online webseries, and Cameron Boyce, who portrayed a young Dark Doctor in the episode, “Orgins.”
The short was directed by Ryan Landels and Harry Shum Jr. (Elliot Hoo), choreographed by Galen Hooks, and also features JoAnne Yarrow as the voice of the game program.
Directed by Charles Oliver, this episode revisits the Extraordinary 7 while introducing us to the talents of Lisa Solar and Jose Ibancos, who also served as the choreographers.
LXD members Aja George, Terence Dickson, Shonnie Solomon, Marie “Pandora” Medina, Shelby Rabara, Chad “Madd Chadd” Smith, JD McElroy and Galen Hooks have teamed together with CokeZero to help bring your dance creations to life! THIS IS AN UNEDITED SECTION FROM THE SHOOTS FOR ALL THOSE THAT REQUESTED IT, HOPE YOU ENJOY. July 18, 2011 — Los Angeles film/art studio Charlottebobcats.com presents a short film featuring famed “LXD” / “Step Up 3-D” choreographer/performer Madd Chadd with an original score by Jake Troth. Filmed in downtown Los Angeles, this piece did not include any special effects; all movements were in real time. Here is the song! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hv31FLjXhcc&feature=player_embedded
LXD members Jaime “Venum” Burgos, Marie “Pandora” Medina, Luis “Luigi” Rosado, Nicholas “Slick” Stewart, Adedamola “Nugget” Orisagbemi, Aaron “Duece” Cooke, and Raymond “Prada-G” Cham join forces and put on a fantastic show for the folks over at Invisible Children, where they’re joined by Jason Russel, co-founder of the organization. Galen Hooks was also on the scene, likely for choreographic reasons, as she didn’t join the others onstage. Check out their performance below!
LXD dancer Stephen “tWitch” Boss (Mr. E) and choreographer Christopher Scott (Copeland) have been busy doing work for the hit FOX show “So You Think You Can Dance” as of late. Last week, tWitch danced with recently crowned winner Melanie Moore in a hard-hitting hip-hop routine choreographed by NappyTabs. Check it out here:
On last night’s finale, the judges picked some of their favorite routines to see again before the end of the season, and the dancers reprised two of Christopher Scott’s numbers, and might I say that they’re even better the second time around. To see them, click on the links below:
Harry Shum Jr. recently went on tour with the Glee cast, where he not only starred as the character of Mike Chang, but as choreographer and alternate dancer to the LXD, who served as the tour’s opening act. The tour has since ended, but for those of you who may have missed it, you can catch all the excitement in “Glee: The 3D Concert Movie,” which can be seen in movie theaters for a limited 2-week period of time! Unfortunately, you may not catch the LXD’s performance in the flick, but you can catch Harry dancing in some fantastic numbers like this one:
Other dancers in the film include Heather Morris (who plays the character of Brittany), former “So You Think You Can Dance” contestants Courtney Galiano and Jaymz Tuaileva, “Dancelife” star Nick Baga, Hannah Douglass, Kyle Hill, Michael Riccio, KC Monnie, and Haylee Roderick.
