Breaking News: Travis Wong Will NOT Return for Season 3

Posted by Beast575 with 1 Comment :: Follow on Twitter

Travis Wong, who plays the the conflicted character of Jimmy Angel AKA Shado, will not be reprising his character for Season 3 of the LXD. He doesn’t say why, but it’s likely due to scheduling reasons. None of the LXD dancers are under contract, so if they land another job, it may take priority.

“Keep getting tons of messages and tweets…Unfortunately I will NOT be a part of @TheLXD Season 3.”

There’s a lot left to explore with Jimmy Angel. Hopefully, Season 4 is an option?

Galen Hooks has been quite busy with the LXD as of late. She choreographed the opening routine for the GLeeXD tour, and it sounds as though she’s taking the reigns on choreography for at least one episode in Season 3. Jillian Meyers recently joined Galen for an LXD performance at Zeitgeist Europe. She has yet to appear with the LXD onscreen, but with filming underway, we may see her yet!

The two friends joined forces to create a beautiful piece set to Kanye West’s “All of the Lights (Interlude).”

Video: Jeffrey “Machine” McCann Auditions for “So You Think You Can Dance”

Posted by Beast575 with No Comments :: Follow on Twitter

Jeffrey “Machine” McCamn plays Experiment 9S2, one of the Dark Doctor’s failures, in the Season 2 episode, “Experiments.” Now, he’s looking to follow in LXD member Bboy Legacy’s footsteps and take his talent to the “So You Think You Can Dance” stage.

His audition was featured on the hit FOX show’s premiere episode last night, and was received with rave reviews. Unfortunately for LXD fans, if Machine is successful in making the top 20, we may not discover the depths of his character in Season 3, as he will be busy in the competition. Nevertheless, we wish him the best of luck!

Also making a short cameo appearance is LXD member William Wingfield (“Katana”), who led the choreography round. Will can currently be seen representing the LXD on the Glee tour.

Will can be seen around the 2:50 mark and again at 6:00.

It’s official! A few days ago, the LXD asked for volunteers to be extras on set. Today, Marie “Pandora” Medina reports rehearsals for Season 3, meaning that after her absence in Season 2, you can expect her storyline to be wrapped up. LXD Elder Aaron “Duece” Cooke tweets that this is the first of five days of rehearsal, and shooting begins on the 31st and will continue to the 1st of June.

Robot Mike Song tweeted that he is once again creating with the LXD, which could possibly mean that he is on the rehearsal deck as well. Fellow robot Anthony “Anflowny” Lee retweets him, and gives the LXD a shout out. Big things are happening for the LXD!

Video: PopNTod Loves Portland, Spring, & Northwest Hip-Hop (e.g. the Blue Scholars)

Posted by Beast575 with No Comments :: Follow on Twitter

Todd “PopNTod” Breithaupt plays one of the LXD’s robots, appearing in the Season One episode, “Robot Lovestory.” Check him out as he dances solo in the video below and prepares for his DVD release.

I really got on a Blue Scholars kick as you can see. An amazing educated politically-conscious duo from Washington state. I can really feel the passion in their voices, and it actually pushes me harder when I get down. All the colorful words flying on the screen are the song names. Everything is by Blue Scholars. I’m known mainly for robot, but this shows more of my straight up popping style.
Enjoy.
P.S. I really do intend on coming out with a DVD w/in the next half year.
