Videos: tWitch and Christopher Scott on “So You Think You Can Dance”

Posted by Beast575 with No Comments

LXD dancer Stephen “tWitch” Boss (Mr. E) and choreographer Christopher Scott (Copeland) have been busy doing work for the hit FOX show “So You Think You Can Dance” as of late. Last week, tWitch danced with recently crowned winner Melanie Moore in a hard-hitting hip-hop routine choreographed by NappyTabs. Check it out here:

On last night’s finale, the judges picked some of their favorite routines to see again before the end of the season, and the dancers reprised two of Christopher Scott’s numbers, and might I say that they’re even better the second time around. To see them, click on the links below:

LXD to Join Glee Cast On Tour!

Posted by Beast575 with No Comments

That’s right, folks! The LXD joins up with the Glee cast once again for their international tour! GLeeXD returns!

Dancers who have been confirmed for the tour (via their twitter pages) are Jonathan “Legacy” Perez, choreographer to the LXD’s premiere episode, “The Tale of Trevor Drift,” and Stephen “Twitch” Boss, who plays Mr. E in Season 2. Also on tour are William Wingfield (Katana), Luis “Luigi Rosado (Trevor Drift), David “Kid David” Schreibman (Karen AKA The Kidd), Shelby Rabara (Dark Nurse), and Danny Graham, who has yet to make an appearance on the LXD online web series.

Harry Shum, Jr. is attached to the project as well. In addition to appearing with the Glee Cast, he’ll be artistic directing the LXD with Chris Scott. Galen Hooks, and LXD newcomer Aakomon Jones will be choreographing. It is unknown whether any of these four will be performing in addition to their previously stated duties.

Another dancer who has mentioned being in LXD rehearsal is ballerina Ashley Galvan. She tweets that she has never been on pointe for so long (6 hours!). However, it’s possible that these rehearsals were for the LXD’s recent performance at Google in London.

For a full list of tour dates and times, visit the official website at http://www.gleetour.net/. For more details on the tour, visit Reuters’ press release page.

Video: Interview With Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss – Discount Dance Supply

Posted by Beast575 with No Comments

Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss has had a minimal role in the LXD, only appearing in the first two episodes of season 2 as both a student and teacher for the Legion of Extraordinary Dancers. tWitch is most well known as being a contestant and all-star on the FOX show, “So You Think You Can Dance.” He’s starred in movies and short films such as “Stomp the Yard 2: Homecoming,” “Step Up 3D,” and “3 Minutes,” and has made a guest appearance on the hit show, “Bones.”

Always ultra cool Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss talks candidly to Discount Dance about his early dance inspirations (think MJ & Wade Robinson), when he decided to get serious and make a career out of dancing and how he became the freestyle sensation he is today!

Interview: Three Minutes with Harry Shum Jr.

Posted by Beast575 with No Comments

In the interview below, Harry discusses making his most recent project, “Three Minutes.” Most notably, he adds that the cast and crew are “ramping up production for Season 3 of the LXD.”

Source: Inquirer Life Style Beta

HOW LONG does it take to make the leap from dancer to action star? If you’re Harry Shum Jr. and Stephen “tWitch” Boss, all you need is three minutes.

Harry (“Glee,” “The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers,” “Step Up 3D”) and tWitch (“The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers,” “Step Up 3D,” “So You Think You Can Dance”) star in “3 Minutes,” an action-packed indie film that runs exactly 180 seconds long.

You’ll be surprised at how much action those 180 seconds can bring. There are guns, fight scenes and—here’s the best part—light sabers.

Ross Ching, who has shot music videos for Death Cab For Cutie, Kina Grannis and Clara C, created and directed this short film.

After releasing two 13-second trailers, “3 Minutes” premiered online last Jan. 10 and is available for viewing on the “3 Minutes” website (http://3minutes-film.com/), YouTube, Vimeo and Facebook. In just a couple of days, the film has been viewed over 200,000 times on YouTube and Vimeo alone, with fans asking for more. It has also gotten a lot of love from blogs and news sites, and has made the rounds on Twitter and Tumblr.

In this exclusive interview, Super talks to Harry Shum Jr. about this project, training for fight scenes, and playing with light sabers. Luckily, he gave us more than three minutes.
