Mike Song, Umbra, and Lorenzo “Devious” Chapman, Experiment J4E, are both off in Miami shooting for the fourth installment in the “Step Up” franchise, alongside a large number of other LXD dancers. In case you’re unfamiliar with either dancer, here’s a preview of what you may see in “Step Up 4Ever.”
Mike Song will be reappearing with the Umbras in this week’s LXD episode.

Kenneth “Free Boogie” Crawford is no stranger to the LXD, appearing as a patient in “Robot Lovestory,” and co-choreographer to the LXD short film, “Matched.” Now, he’s returned to Season 3 where he serves as one of the head choreographers. He has confirmed via twitter that he and Robot Mike Song will be directing the last four episodes of the Season, including an Umbra episode and the season finale.

It’s official! A few days ago, the LXD asked for volunteers to be extras on set. Today, Marie “Pandora” Medina reports rehearsals for Season 3, meaning that after her absence in Season 2, you can expect her storyline to be wrapped up. LXD Elder Aaron “Duece” Cooke tweets that this is the first of five days of rehearsal, and shooting begins on the 31st and will continue to the 1st of June.
Robot Mike Song tweeted that he is once again creating with the LXD, which could possibly mean that he is on the rehearsal deck as well. Fellow robot Anthony “Anflowny” Lee retweets him, and gives the LXD a shout out. Big things are happening for the LXD!

Mike Song is another LXD robot, appearing in the Season 2 finale alongside Madd Chadd. He also performed on Conan with the LXD, where he portrayed an Umbra, making him one of the only LXD dancers to portray two characters. Below, he displays some of the talent that landed him that honor.

Mike Song, who played both an Umbra in the Season 2 episode, “The Greater of Two Evils,” and and a robot in the season finale, “The Good, the Bad, and the Ra, Part 2,” posted a freestyle video to the song “Hood N*gga” by Gorilla Zoe.

Ox member Casper Smart is one of many talented dancers featured in Jennifer Lopez’s brand new music video, “On the Floor.” You can catch several glimpses of him throughout the video, most prominently at 0:32 and 0:47 seconds. Casper Smart most recently appeared in the Superbowl episode of “Glee.” Umbra/Robot Mike Song can also be spotted at 1:30 and 2:45.
