Video: The LXD Perform at Invisible Children

LXD members Jaime “Venum” Burgos, Marie “Pandora” Medina, Luis “Luigi” Rosado, Nicholas “Slick” Stewart, Adedamola “Nugget” Orisagbemi, Aaron “Duece” Cooke, and Raymond “Prada-G” Cham join forces and put on a fantastic show for the folks over at Invisible Children, where they’re joined by Jason Russel, co-founder of the organization. Galen Hooks was also on the scene, likely for choreographic reasons, as she didn’t join the others onstage. Check out their performance below!

Video: LXD Performance on “So You Think You Can Dance”

The LXD returns to the “So You Think You Can Dance stage for the second time to deliver a breathtaking performance. Christopher Scott and Galen Hooks choreographed an original piece set to “Palladio (Rebuilt) by Kerry Muzzey. The number earned a standing ovation from not only the audience, but the judges, host and contestants as well. You don’t want to miss this!

Performers include SYTYCD vet Ashley Galvan, Anis Cheurfa, Danny Graham, Chad “Madd Chadd” Smith, Marie “Pandora” Medina, Ringmasters Adedamola “Nugget” Orisagbemi and Nicholas “Slick” Stewart, Marc “Marvelous” Innis, Jesse “Casper” Brown, Peter “Smurf” Quintanilla, Johnny Erasme, newcomers Raymond “NastyRay” Mora, Raymond “Prada-G” Cham, and Jessica Lee Keller, and of course, Chris and Galen themselves.

News: LXD Trailer, Season 3 Release Date, and Performance…All Tomorrow!

Tomorrow is a big day for the LXD and its fans!

First off, the “Season 3: Rise of the Drifts” trailer will be debuting, showcasing a few old faces and a plethora of new faces! Along with the trailer will be the announcement of the release date of the third season! Exciting!

Also tomorrow, the Legion of Extraordinary dancers will be returning to the “So You Think You Can Dance” stage, performing an original number for the live results show at 8/7 Central on FOX. Confirmed performers include Danny Graham, Anis Cheurfa, Pandora, Madd Chadd, Johnny Erasme, Ashley Galvan, Slick, Nugget, and newcomer Amrapali Ambegao. Galen Hooks and Christopher Scott are also attached to the performance, but no word if they’re performing, choreographing, or both.

For those of you who may have missed it, or need a refresher, here’s a video of the LXD’s last performance on the SYTYCD stage:

The LXD Performs at Zeitgeist Europe 2011

Video: The LXD Performs at Choreographers Carnival 12yr Anniversary *UPDATED*

The LXD performs at Choreographers Carnival 12yr Anniversary at the Avalon in Hollywood, CA on Wednesday, January 26, 2011. This year Carnival honored Travis Payne for the Lifetime Achievement Awards. The event is produced every month by Carey Yasis, Paulette, DMK in association with the World of Dance, Myron Marten and 21XL. You can catch The LXD shows on Hulu which is produced/directed by Jon M. Chu. Jon M. Chu is also the director for the upcoming Justin Bieber film Never Say Never.

The piece was choreographed by Harry Shum, Galen Hooks, and Christopher Scott. The performance features  Brandon Philips, JD McElroy, Johnny Erasme, Bryan Tanaka, Nugget, Slick, JRock, Pandora, Milky, Jeremy Marinas, Beastmode, Machine, and more.  The piece also features some previously unseen ballerinas, including former SYTYCD contestant Ashley Galvan.

Pandora writes on her twitter that this is a villain piece, so are we to assume that Justin Starr, along with these new characters, are set to turn to the dark side in Season 3?

Video: The LXD Perform on Conan

The LXD performed for the ‘Conan’ show last night. This may be the first performance where every member is in character according to the web series. This performance did not include any LXD heroes, and instead focused on the villains–namely the Umbra and the Ox. Performers include Shelby Rabara (Dark Nurse), Brandon Philips, Brandon Shaw, Mike Song, JD McElroy and Johnny Erasme (Umbras), Anis Cheurfa (Achilles), Boogie Frantick (The Wave), Slick and Nugget (Eaters), Pandora (Autumn), B-boy Casper (Peetie), Tarrance Harrison and B-boy Gee. The piece was choreographed by Harry Shum, Jr. and Christopher Scott.

It sounds like this performance tonight will be heavily Ox/Umbra influenced. The only heroes that have been confirmed to be in attendance tonight are Harry and Chris, but my guess is that their involvement is limited to choreography. It will be interesting to see how this performance plays out without any good guys around!
