Video: Team iLuminate Final “America’s Got Talent” Performance

Team iLuminate is a group of dancers banded together to create sensational routines bound to amazing lighting technology. Through this technology, they create something completely different than anything else the world has ever seen. The dance group contains a whopping total of six LXD members: John “JRock” Nelson (Dark Doctor), Ivan “Flipz” Velez (Observer), Philip “Spee-D” Albuquerque (Swoop), Marie “Maryss from Paris” Courchinoux (Scales), Jay “JSmooth” Gutierrez, and Lindsey “Lindsey B” Blaufarb, who choreographed an upcoming episode.

Tonight, they created some stunning visuals for the final “America’s Got Talent” performance show, and they need your votes to become a headlining act in Vegas! Call 1-866-602-4810 NOW!!

Through this technology, they create something completely different than anything else the world has ever seen. The dance group contains a whopping total of six LXD members: John “JRock” Nelson (Dark Doctor), Ivan “Flipz” Velez (Observer), Philip “Spee-D” Albuquerque (Swoop), Marie “Maryss from Paris” Courchinoux (Scales), Jay “JSmooth” Gutierrez, and Lindsey “Lindsey B” Blaufarb, who choreographed an upcoming episode.

The dancers have performed on “America’s Got Talent” twice before, but this is when it really counts. They’re in the semi-finals, but they need your votes to make it all the way!

The judges gave them some of the best feedback that could possibly be given, but it’s up to America to keep them in the competition! To vote, call 1-866-602-4809 or text VOTE to 4809.

Trailer: “Honey 2″ featuring Casper Smart, Gee, Luke Broadlick, Flipz, Rino, and Maryss from Paris

There are a lot of dancing movies in the works–”You Got Served 2,” “Step Up 4,” and now you can add “Honey 2″ to the list. This movie stars Katerina Graham in the lead role, with LXD members Casper Smart (Ox crew) as Ricky, and Luke Broadlick (Ox Crew), Ivan “Flipz” Velez (Observer), and George “Gee” Alexander all representing different crews in the film. The Beat Freaks also appear in the movie, which means you’ll be seeing mermaids Rino Nakasone and Marie “Maryss from Paris” Courchinoux.

Producer Hieu Ho and Director/Creator Jon M. Chu accept the award “Best Televised Performance on behalf of the LXD.

Thanks @worldofdance for honoring @theLXD with the award for best Televised performance last night!!! Much love and respect for what you all do.

The Beat Freaks, including members Maryss from Paris and Rino Nakasone, received the award for “Best Female Crew.” Congrats to all the winners!

LXD and Members Nominated For Dance Track Magazine 2011 Artist Awards

The LXD and several members are nominated for Dance Tracks Magazine’s 2011 Artist awards!

Voting is open for the Official 2011 Nominees for the Dance Track Magazine ‘Artist Awards’ on January 3, 2011 and will close on February 15, 2011.

Who can vote?
Dancers and Choreographers who are are represented by SAG/AFTRA Franchised Agents or Managers (or) Dancer and Choreographers who are SAG/AFTRA/AGMA/AGVA/Actors’ Equity members are allowed to vote on the nominees during the voting period. Only one category, (Favorite Dance Category), will have open public voting allowed. You can only vote one time per person. Make it count!

Blogging ABDC Interviews Maryss from Paris, Rino Nakasone, and Cornbread

Blogging Best Dance Crew has interviewed some of the major dancers who portray characters in the latest LXD episodes. Among them are Beat Freaks members Maryss from Paris (Scales, “Tales of War”) and Rino Naksosone (Teethe, “Tails of War”), and Giovanni ‘Cornbread’ Watson (Umbra, “The Greater of Two Evils”). They talk about the choreography and rehearsal process, and how they came to be a part of the LXD.
