LXD Short Film “Game On” Online!

Posted by Beast575 with 5 Comments

The LXD filmed a special short film a while back that was viewed exclusively to audiences of the “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, Director’s Cut.” After months of waiting, the project has finally reached the internet, thanks to one of its stars, Simrin Player. The short also features the talents of Step Up 3D star Kendra Andrews, Chad “Madd Chadd” Smith, who plays the character of Sp3cimen in the online webseries, and Cameron Boyce, who portrayed a young Dark Doctor in the episode, “Orgins.”

The short was directed by Ryan Landels and Harry Shum Jr. (Elliot Hoo), choreographed by Galen Hooks, and also features JoAnne Yarrow as the voice of the game program.

Kendra Andrews to Film an LXD Episode?

Posted by Beast575 with No Comments

Kendra Andrews has been to a few LXD events before, and may or may not have performed with them for Jay Leno. She previously worked with Jon Chu and a number of the other dancers in Step Up 3D. So it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to find out that she may be shooting an LXD episode for Season 3. Earlier today, she tweeted:

So excited to film with @maddchadd @TheLXD tomorrow!! Going to be super SICK-O-NING!!!

The tweet is a little vague, so it can’t be certain that what she is filming is an LXD episode. She went to some sort of rehearsal the day before. For all we know, she could be shooting a short film with LXD cast members like Cloud did in “The Ho Down.” But it’s more likely that it’s an installment in the LXD’s third season.

Many other tweets from other members indicate that something big is happening. Johnny Erasme, one of the Umbras, tweeted:

LXD rehearsal. Great way to start off the new year….

And producer Hieu Ho writes:

LXD Voltron squad assembling from all corners of the universe for top secret project. 2011, get ready!!!

Kendra would be a welcome addition to the LXD cast, especially with the small amount of women that have been around since the LXD’s beginning. Only three female dancers have even appeared in more than a single episode; among them are Galen Hooks, Shelby Rabara, and Pandora. Carly Lang, although being a dancer who has even performed with the LXD, has yet to show her skills in an episode.

We look forward to (probably) seeing you on future episodes Kendra!
